In addition to playwriting, Desmond has been busy writing poetry  and performing at open mic poetry evenings in Adelaide and Edinburgh.

Lost and Found is a new pamphlet which is currently in late drafting stages. It is divided into two distinct sections. Within Lost, Desmond explores her previous assault and trauma. By understanding and acknowledging the past, there is room to grow. In Found, these past experiences are used as a lens through which to view more recent romantic involvements and altercations.

Some of the poems from Lost and Found have been altered for Desmond's debut EP entitled Permanent Silence, which will be released on Spotify in late 2020.
