Desmond began performing as a musician studying flute, piano and vocals throughout her schooling career. In her final year of schooling, Desmond studied Drama and received the Ruben Silva Memorial Award for excellence in the subject.

In 2008, Desmond was chosen to play the lead female role in The Yum Yum Room, written and directed by Adelaide playwright Stephen House. 

​

In 2009, Desmond won the female lead role in Purple which was directed by Portuguese director and writer Paulo Castro.

​

From 2010 to 2012 Desmond was an active musician and singer, performing in choirs and as a soloist at various events.

​

In 2015 Desmond worked with George Glass Productions on their production Abbott! The Musical playing the role of Peta Credlin, pianist and vocalist. This production run included Adelaide Fringe, an Adelaide stand-alone show and Melbourne Fringe.

​

At Adelaide Fringe in 2017 Desmond performed with Gospo Enterprises in their production Gospolation.

​

socially [un]acceptable is Desmond's first written piece.

​

Since debuting and touring with socially [un]acceptable, Desmond has written two new theatre works and an extensive anthology of poetry. More information can be found here.
